Portable power is the future. From handling blackouts during natural disasters, to charging electric vehicles and storing energy from renewable sources, it’s become increasingly practical to have your own personal energy supply on hand.
As one of the fastest growing energy tech start-ups, Zendure is on a mission to provide everyone with true energy independence. Their latest portable power solution is SuperBase V, a plug-and-play home energy system that’s also the first to utilize semi-solid state technology. According to Zendure, semi-solid state batteries boast a higher energy density (up to 42% more) than the current gold standard lithium iron phosphate. They are also less likely to pose a hazard if damaged, providing a safer user experience for homes and businesses.
While the idea of portable power stations might seem apocalyptic to those who do not own or use one, the reality is that they’re essentially another useful household appliance. SuperBase V works ideally as an emergency backup power for the home, but handles being on the road just as well thanks to its motorized wheels. Want to charge mobile devices, gaming setups or even electric vehicles? SuperBase V acts as a souped-up power bank with both 120V and 220V sockets to deliver juice for all your daily needs. Hosting a weekend music festival in your own backyard? Simply stack a couple of Satellite Expansion Battery modules to keep the high-voltage party going uninterrupted.
SuperBase V is eco-friendlier than traditional generators because it produces no harmful emissions and can be solar powered. Plugged into an AC outlet while exposed to sunny conditions, it recharges up to 6.6kWh in an hour. The versatile power station also comes with an app to manage its multiple ports, and can be integrated into the home energy ecosystem for seamless power supply with zero downtime.
SuperBase V is available on Kickstarter at the “super early bird” price of US$3,799 (semi-solid state version) until 19 November 9:45 PDT. The campaign raised over US$1 million in seven hours and has a present-day backing of US$2,179,714. Subsequently, SuperBase V will be sold on Zendure’s website.
