YSL is the brand on everyone’s lips, not only because Saint Laurent is hosting its Spring/Summer 2024 menswear show tonight, but also because YSL Beauty has just announced the winner of the Push the Boundaries Prize.
The prize is more than just a competition, but a genuine incubator for championing talent and change within the industry. It sees coaches work with the winner — notably the DJ Chloé Caillet, dancer Jaxon Willard, and gamer Honey Puu — to nurture the next generation of progressive creatives.
And for the prize’s first-ever winner, it’s all about Anaïs B. The French DJ is known for their eclectic mix and crafty ability to blend sounds from Amapiano, Afro House, Future Beats, Hip Hop, R&B, Drum n Bass, and Dancehall, and has worked globally alongside platforms such as Boiler Room and the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Per the brand, “Anaïs B promotes a culture of sharing and kindness, with aspirations to broadcast this spirit globally. As a committed artist, she takes pleasure in all aspects of her work, whether it’s performing on stage or producing her own music.” Manon Ergin, VP of Global Communications and Image Yves Saint Laurent Beauty added: “We are delighted to announce that Anaïs B has won the Push the Boundaries Prize. Anaïs is a talented artist who is always looking for new ways to innovate. We are proud to support her work, and we know that this prize will help her reach a wider audience and push her project to have a positive impact on her world.”
Anaïs B concludes by saying: “It is a genuine honor to be the winner of the first edition of the Push the Boundaries Prize. I want to express my gratitude to Chloe Caillet, my mentor and rising icon, whom I’ve been working with to enhance my project. She has been very inspirational in developing my artistic vision.”
As a result, Anaïs B has been granted €30,000 EUR (approx. $32,500 USD) to help them bring their dreams into fruition.
