Young Thug, Kid Cudi and North Carolina rapper Strick have joined forces on an otherworldly music video for “Moon Man,” off of Young Stoner Life (YSL) Records’ compilation album, dubbed Slime Language 2.
In the visual, the trio takes a trip to space in a flying RV, devouring a stack of pancakes while soaring through purple-tinged skies. “I took off and went to the stars, I came back, they callin’ me ‘Moon Man’ (Shh), yeah,” Strick raps once they arrive in space. “I hit the stage like guitars and I rock it for ‘em all night, yeah (Let’s go).”
Slime Language 2 landed as a collaboration among the entire roster of Young Thug’s YSL label, where Strick is signed. Fronting another appearance on the album for “WokStar” featuring Skepta, Strick now has plans to release his own solo effort, titled Strickland. The upcoming album, which is slated for release by the end of 2021, will include features from Young Thug, Ty Dolla $ign, Gunna, Swae Lee and several others.
Elsewhere, Young Thug is preparing for the release of his next album, Punk, on October 15. After revealing four of the record’s tracks during his NPR Tiny Desk Concert in July, the rapper officially released Punk‘s first single, “Tick Tock,” on August 20.
