Holly Humberstone‘s BRITs outfit was one to remember, and not just because of how incredible she looked wearing it. The artist sourced her look with the help of Depop, wearing a custom jumpsuit and gloves by seller Pristine, handmade in London.
On the look, Humberstone said that “I’m so excited to be dressed by Depop for my first ever BRIT’s performance! I love vintage, and really care about sustainable fashion – I find most of my clothes second hand so it just made total sense to keep it circular for the BRITs. I’m always obsessed with the amazing pieces you can find on Depop and am championing some of my personal favourites with my performance look and my curated selection of sellers in the app.” Of all the BRITs looks that featured on the red carpet this year, Humberstone’s outfit was the only one sourced entirely through Depop and secondhand clothing, which feels like a pretty exciting move for red carpet fashion.
Depop’s head of partnerships, Steve Dool, said that “Working with Rising Star Award winner Holly Humberstone has been such a natural fit for us. She is a champion of circular fashion and has already established herself as an influential talent to watch in the UK music scene and beyond. At Depop, we want to reshape fashion consumption by promoting and celebrating a more mindful approach to style – showcasing that through our partnership with the BRITS is a powerful way to show that incredible awards show looks can also be kinder to the planet.”
