Yo, Holmes to Bel Air! Will Smith Just Put the ‘Fresh Prince’ Mansion on Airbnb

Yo, Holmes to Bel Air! Will Smith Just Put the ‘Fresh Prince’ Mansion on Airbnb

Now this is the story all about how you can become the prince of Bel Air. Well, at least for a night.

On Sunday (Sept. 13), Will Smith shared the news that he’s working with Airbnb to put the iconic home from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air up on the platform as a vacation rental for just five nights to celebrate the beloved sitcom’s 30th anniversary.

“YOOOO!! Y’all think we should rent out the @freshprince house?? We’re making it happen with the squad at @airbnb!! #FreshPrince30th,” the star captioned a selfie with bestie and former co-star DJ Jazzy Jeff posing outside the mansion, which is actually located in neighboring Brentwood.

Smith added even more charm and detail in the Airbnb listing for the property, writing, “Ready for the freshest staycation ever? If this place looks familiar that’s because it’s just as fly as it was when I first rolled up the driveway. I’m back. And this time, I’m handing you the keys so you’ll have my wing of the mansion all to yourself — but my sneaker collection is off limits, aight?”

While only one wing of the home will be open to guests, perks include playing basketball inside Will’s old bedroom, lounging by the pool and having meals delivered on silver platters just the way Geoffrey the butler would have liked.

The Airbnb partnership is the latest way Smith has been marking the 30th anniversary of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Earlier this month, he reunited with his former cast mates Tatyana Ali, Karyn Parsons, Daphne Maxwell Reid, Joseph Marcell and Alfonso Ribiero — as well as Jazzy Jeff — for an unscripted reunion special scheduled to air on HBO Max around Thanksgiving. (That’s not all: The show’s original Aunt Viv — Janet Hubert — also showed up to reunite with Smith, ending their nearly 30 year feud over her abrupt exit from the series.)

Smith is also set to serve as executive producer on an upcoming reboot of the series, which has been picked up for two seasons by NBC streaming service Peacock, and is being billed as a gritty, dramatic retelling of the story.
