XSEED Games will be launching No More Heroes III in English this October. Developed by Grasshopper Manufacture and originally published by Marvelous in Japan last year, the title is the fourth installment in the No More Heroes series, arriving 11 years after its predecessor No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle.
Featuring with improved HD visuals and framerates, No More Heroes III sees assassin Travis Touchdown return to the California city of Santa Destroy to save the world from alien invaders and the evil prince leading them.
Players are challenged to ascend the game’s Galactic Superhero Rankings, taking part in mini-games and side quests along the way. Like the first game in the No More Heroes franchise, this latest installment has an open-world format, however, it’s split into five different islands that Travis can explore via motorcycle.
After making enough money, Travis must pay a fee to enter a boss battle, where he’ll face off against one of the prince’s galactic superheroes.
“Warm up those beam katanas, tighten the all-new Death Glove, and get ready to partake in outrageous boss battles against the evil Prince FU and his nine alien henchmen as Travis fights his way to the top of the Galactic Superhero Rankings!” the game’s description reads.
Beginning on October 11, No More Heroes III will be available in English for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via Steam. A “Day 1 Edition” is currently available for pre-order on PlayStation and Xbox, arriving with the game, an art book, a soundtrack CD and a Santa Destroy biker license plate.
