Netflix has an interactive horror special in the works with WWE’s The Undertaker that will be available for streaming ahead of Halloween. Entitled Escape the Undertaker, the Netflix Original will star the eponymous wrestler, whose real name is Mark Calaway, alongside the WWE Raw team The New Day, made up of Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.
“In this interactive film featuring WWE Superstars, The Undertaker has set a trap for the decorated tag team The New Day at his mansion,” the synopsis reads. “What they don’t know: The Undertaker’s mansion is an extreme Haunted House, packed to the brim with supernatural challenges.”
Playing the movie will take about roughly 30 minutes per run and the interactive design offers varied storylines depending on the choices made by the player. “It’s up to viewers to decide the fate of these three poor souls trying to survive the wrath of The Undertaker.”
The creepy film is a suitable fit for The Undertaker, who became known in the ring for his horror and macabre-themed aesthetic over the course of his 30-year career with the company. He recently retired from WWE in November as its longest-tenured wrestler.
This isn’t the first time Netflix has collaborated with WWE; the streaming platform also has a scripted docuseries underway about the 1994 trial of Vince McMahon, chronicling the aftermath of a series of inflammatory news stories that had accused the WWE CEO of providing wrestlers with steroids.
Escape the Undertaker is available for streaming on Netflix on October 5.
In other entertainment news, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has debuted the trailer for Injustice.
