Wolverhampton Wanderers are ready to sell Adama Traore in the January transfer window amid interest from Spanish giants Barcelona, according to reports.
The 25-year-old’s current contract is set to expire in 2023 and he is yet to agree a new deal with them.
It is said that the Spaniard wants a huge pay rise which the West Midlands outfit are not ready to accept.
Now as per 90MIN, Wolves are ready to sell the winger in the January transfer window, with the two parties failing to reach an agreement over a new deal so far.
It is said that Barca’s manager Xavi Hernandez is a huge admirer of the Spain international and wants to bring him to Camp Nou.
However, a deal in January could be difficult for the Catalans due to the availability of limited funds. Although the La Liga giants could sign him on an initial loan deal with an option to make the move permanent.
The former Aston Villa player has also sparked a transfer interest from several other clubs, including Premier League’s Liverpool and Leeds United.
Traore joined the Wanderers in the summer of 2018 from Middlesbrough in a deal worth around £18 million.
Since his arrival at the Molineux Stadium, he has clocked up 143 appearances across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and creating 18 assists in the process.
The 25-year-old is known for his thunderous speed, excellent ball control and great physical abilities.
