Nigerian superstars, Wizkid and Burna Boy, dominated the night at the just concluded Mobo Awards 2020.
Wizkid bagged the Best African Act while Burna Boy received the Best International Act.
Newsmen report that the awards stopped but later came back after a three-year hiatus as organizers announced on November 24 the nominations for the 2020 Music of Black Origin Awards.
Also, Nigerian musicians, Wizkid, Burna Boy Davido, Rema, Fireboy, Adekunle Gold, and Tiwa Savage also got nods at the event.
Burna Boy and Rema were shortlisted in the Best International Act category alongside Drake, Megan Thee Stallion, the late Pop Smoke, Lil Babyand more.
Also, Burna Boy, Rema, Wizkid, Davido, Fireboy, Adekunle Gold and Tiwa Savage were in the same best African act category.
Ghanaian stars, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy also received nods alongside, Ivorian, Afro B, South African, Master KG and NSG.
The event which was live streamed on Youtube on Thursday was hosted by Maya Jama and Chunkz.
Nigerian music icons, Davido and Tiwa Savage also performed live at the event.
