The only good bug is a dead bug — or one drawn on the awesome cover of the first-ever Starship Troopers Original Motion Picture Soundtrack vinyl pressing. Coming from Varèse Sarabande and Craft Recordings, this new 2xLP package comes in both standard black and “Blood and Bug Juice Marble” vinyl (limited to 500 copies).
In addition to the new original gatefold artwork, the vinyl features an extended tracklist and comes with a fold-out poster and extensive liner notes from director Paul Verhoeven and musician Zoë Poledouris, daughter of the late original composer Basil Poledouris. The soundtrack is just as grand, glorious, and satirical as Verhoeven’s story. With echos of various military marches, a focus on percussion, and a noticeable Igor Stravinsky influence, Poledouris’ sonic representation of humanities battle against the Arachnids is just as iconic as the film
