Nothing like your presence, one of many projects McDowell has released in his long musical career, is featured on the 18-track album.
On the 20th of September 2019, American, Grammy-nominated, gospel musician and artist released his fifth studio album ‘The cry: A live experience’.
Nothing like your presence is the album’s 15th track and lasts 14 minutes and 26 seconds. It features a variety of musical instruments such as a keyboard, drums, a slight bass guitar, chimes, and many other enchanting instruments.
Originally performed by McDowell and his crew in the album, as the song advanced and gained prominence, other well-known gospel artists such as Travis Green, Nathaniel Bassey, and Israel Houghton improved and were featured.
This project has done exceptionally well, with over 14 million views on YouTube, 97 percent rates on Google, and 162 on the US charts.
Nothing compares to being in the presence of the Most High, as McDowell explains in this hymn. It’s a declaration and acknowledgment of how lovely it is to spend one-on-one time with God.
