The film adaptation of Wicked has proven to be a major success at the box office, flying beyond the record for the biggest opening for a movie based on a Broadway show ever. This week, as standard theatrical showings continue, sing-along screenings of the film began at select theaters for those who feel brave enough to attempt that riff at the end of “Defying Gravity.”
Now, as stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande keep dancing through life and through theaters, audiences will soon be able to enjoy Wicked at home, too. Universal Pictures has announced that the film will soon be available to stream at home via PVOD.

How Can I Stream Wicked?
Starting December 31st, Wicked will be available to stream or own on digital. In the US, the movie can be found on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, and a number of other services, including Comcast and Xfinity. The story of the two most iconic witches in Oz will be available to rent for the price of $19.99.
What Bonus Content Does Wicked Include?
While the theatrical release is a solid 2 hours and 40 minutes in runtime, the digital version is set to include deleted scenes, commentary, and other bonus features, such as the footage of Erivo and Grande auditioning for their respective roles as Elphaba and Glinda. The at-home purchase also boasts a singalong version of the film, along with a 40-minute journey through Oz that “celebrates the film’s transformative on-screen magic.”
Can I Buy Wicked?
Wicked will simultaneously be available for purchase for $29.99 on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, and the other aforementioned platforms beginning December 31st. For those interested in purchasing a physical copy, Wicked will also debut on 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD, as well as in a limited-edition box set on June 30th, 2025.
