Ariana Grande‘s lead single from her sixth album Positions debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week (dated Nov. 7), but which song should follow its success as the next single?
She already gave the slinky sexy jam “34+35” the single treatment on the album’s Oct. 30 release date, but another fan favorite that could follow suit is “pov.” The album’s closer was ranked No. 1 on Billboard‘s critics picks for breaking the mold of a traditional R&B ballad.
She also has a trio of collabs to pick from — “motive” with Doja Cat, “off the table” with The Weeknd and “safety net,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign. Previously, her “Love Me Harder” single with The Weeknd from her 2014 sophomore album My Everything reached the top 10 of the Hot 100, so her track record with the R&B crooner is pretty solid. And her “motive” track with the “Say So” rapper is already poised for a top 10 position on the Official U.K. Singles Chart.
