Westside Gunn has big plans this year, and those plans include the release of two brand new albums.
The Griselda titan took to Twitter to make the announcement, simply tweeting, “Idk who reading this but I’m dropping 2X this year 8/20 & 10/31 #FLYGOD #GXFR #CULTURE #ICON.” It’s unknown which record is dropping when, but fans can expect that one of those dates will be for his upcoming Hitler Wears Hermes 8 mixtape, Sincerely Adolf. Gunn previously released two singles, “Julia Lang” and “TV BOY,” which were produced by Camouflage Monk and Daringer with Beat Butcha respectively.
Gunn’s last full-length release dates back to his October 2020 record WHO MADE THE SUNSHINE, which also marked his Shady Records debut. He’s been relatively busy since then, serving as executive producer for Mach-Hommy’s stunning Pray for Haiti, appearing on IDK’s “Red” with Jay Electronica and the late MF DOOM and opening his first art gallery in Buffalo, New York.
Stay tuned for more info on the albums.
