West Ham are interested in signing Lewis O’Brien who is currently on the books of Huddersfield Town.
The 23-year-old is an academy graduate of the Terriers who has been earning rave reviews with his performances in the Championship.
He has clocked up 30 league appearances this season for the West Yorkshire outfit, with two goals and two assists to his name.
The midfielder has been an important member for the Terriers since he returned to the club in the summer of 2019 from his loan spell at Bradford City.
So far, he has clocked up 115 appearances across all competitions for Huddersfield Town, with seven goals and nine assists to his name (stats from Transfermarkt).
The talented footballer’s amazing performances have sparked an interest from several English clubs.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, West Ham are interested to bring Lewis O’Brien to the London Stadium.
However, David Moyes’ side face competition for the signature of the 23-year-old as Crystal Palace, Wolves, Burnley and Norwich City have also been credited with an interest.
While Leeds United are also said to be pursuing his signature, despite failing to reach an agreement for him in the previous window.
Huddersfield Town have tied him down to a new contract that will expire in 2025. However, his deal is said to have a release clause worth around £12 million.
Lewis O’Brien is a highly talented midfielder who is capable of shining at any of the mentioned English clubs.
