Sometimes we refrain from setting boundaries because we feel either we will sound too harsh or too demanding. This stems from the need of pleasing people. However, boundaries are crucial for a healthy lifestyle, and we should be able to ensure that the people around us adhere to the boundaries that we have. “Healthy boundaries are about what works or doesn’t work for you, and not at all about controlling the other person into doing what you want,” wrote Therapist Sadaf Siddiqi.
