HBO Max has released the trailer for Larry David‘s two-part documentary, The Larry David Story.
The original documentary takes audiences and fans alike on David’s rise to comedy stardom. The start of the journey begins at his standup career and touches on his co-creating efforts for Seinfeld and his most recent eleven seasons of the ground-breaking series Curb Your Enthusiasm. David gives fans a glimpse of how his career in comedy began and can be heard saying in the trailer, “Twenty-five years old, I didn’t know what I wanted to do. Well, what do you do when you’re talking and people are laughing? You do comedy.” He adds, “I never thought of myself as being funny. Anything I was associated with that could be successful was a shock.”
David recalls one of his memories with his mother, when discussing one of the most successful television shows he created, “My mother would call me up and go, ‘Larry, do they like you? Do they tell you you’re doing a great job?’ ‘Yeah Ma, they like me. The show is No. 1 in the country.” The comedian is gives a completely candid take on his life in the latest documentary for HBO Max.
The Larry David Story arrives on March 1.
