The official trailer for Ridley Scott‘s biographical crime film, HOUSE OF GUCCI, has finally arrived.

The forthcoming movie is set in 1995 and follows the events and aftermath of Maurizio Gucci‘s (Adam Driver) murder, which was ordered by his ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani (Lady Gaga). Joining Driver and Lady Gaga are a selection of Academy Award winners and nominees, including Jared Leto as Paolo Gucci, Jeremy Irons as Rodolfo Gucci, Al Pacino as Aldo Gucci and Salma Hayek as Giuseppina “Pina” Auriemma.

Despite being a highly-anticipated title, HOUSE OF GUCCI is not being released without some controversy. Earlier this April, the family of Guccio Gucci expressed their disappointment over the film, with Patrizia Gucci sharing the statement, “We are truly disappointed. I speak on behalf of the family. They are stealing the identity of a family to make a profit, to increase the income of the Hollywood system….Our family has an identity, privacy. We can talk about everything, but there is a borderline that cannot be crossed.”

Patrizia further shared her dismay in the casting choices, noting that her grandfather does not resemble the character Al Pacino is playing in the film. “My grandfather was a very handsome man, like all the Guccis, and very tall, blue eyes and very elegant. He is being played by Al Pacino, who is not very tall already, and this photo shows him as fat, short, with sideburns, really ugly. Shameful, because he doesn’t resemble him at all,” she said, also calling Leto’s casting as “Horrible, horrible. I still feel offended.”
