Netflix has released the official trailer for the upcoming anime series, Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance.
The 3D-animated series takes premise during One Year War — an event featured in the 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam anime and also the first major conflict in the UC timeline. Setting scene at the European front, the story follows the perspective of Zeon’s Red Wolf Squadron as they fight against the Earth Federation Forces.
The trailer offers a peek of the mass-produced Zaku II F Type mobile suits, specifically at the double-antenna model piloted by the series’ protagonist, Solari. Halfway through the promotional video, the Gundam EX makes its appearance as a menacing figure for the Red Wolves, demonstrating its overwhelming power against the Zeon army.
Produced by Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc., Sunrise Studio and SAFEHOUSE Inc., the 3D animated graphics are generated using Unreal Engine 5. The first season is confirmed for a 6-episode run, which each episode being around 30 minutes long.
