While Star Wars is experiencing an offseason of sorts, with Star Wars: The Acolyte concluding last month, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew was announced at the end of July as the next live action series to release. Details regarding the Jude Law-led show have remained sparse, until now, as the first trailer for the upcoming series has been presented as part of D23.
Clocking in at under two minutes, the brief trailer begins with a look at suburban life, with Wim (Ravi Cabot-Conyers) expressing his eagerness to explore the galaxy. From there, him and three other kids find themselves in more danger than they could’ve imagined as various action sequences preview the mayhem to come. Jod (Jude Law) enters the mix at the trailer’s conclusion, seemingly using the Force to float a key into his hand, prompting Wim to consider him a Jedi.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew remains set to debut on December 3, exclusively via Disney+, and will feature a two-episode series premiere. As for other Star Wars releases discussed at D23, The Mandalorian and Grogu film is set to release in 2026 on May 22, Andor season two will premiere on Disney+ in 2025 and LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy will release on September 13 via Disney+.
