teamLab has become world-renowned for enthralling installations that transport audiences into otherworldly destinations. For the next stop, the international art collective will transform Paris’ Maison&Objet tradeshow into a sea of glowing ovoids.
“Resonating Microcosms of Life – Solidified Light Color” features numerous interactive orbs that emit sound and 61 different colors as you interact with them. Interestingly, the ovoids around also respond one after another, emitting the same light color and sound tone that continues to resonate throughout the grounds.
Five core concepts lay at the foundation of the project — ”Relationship with People; Relationship with Natural Phenomena; Physicality; Continuity; and New Colors,” according to teamLab in a statement. Unlike many traditional art exhibitions, teamLab both invites and is dependent upon human interaction to achieve a greater exploration into ourselves and the natural phenomena around us.
teamLab will also participate in “THE TALKS” on January 20, where they will answer questions about the exhibition and their practice as a whole. Maison&Objet is a major interior design fair that will take place from January 20-24, 2022.
