Mickey Guyton was featured on today’s new episode of Sesame Street. Joined by Elmo, Big Bird, Abby, Cookie Monster, and more, Guyton performed a song about the importance of community: “C’mon, clap your hands and sing along/A community where we all belong/You’re here for me/That’s what makes a community,” they sang. The country star is one of several celebrity guests who will appear on the 53rd season of Sesame Street. Last season boasted episodes featuring Anderson .Paak singing about holidays, Billie Eilish performing “Happier Than Ever” with Count von Count, and Kacey Musgraves singing about her favorite colors.
Mickey Guyton recently shared a solo track called “Somethin’ Bout You,” marking her first new solo music since releasing her Grammy-nominated debut album, Remember Her Name, in 2021. At the start of the year, Guyton opened Super Bowl LVI with a powerful rendition of the National Anthem.
