Tonight at the 2022 Oscars, Megan Thee Stallion, Luis Fonsi, and Becky G joined the cast of Encanto to perform the breakout hit “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.” The track was written by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Meg’s new verse made multiple references to the song’s massive popularity before discussing the night’s Oscar. Check it out below.
“We Don’t Talk About Bruno” isn’t nominated for Best Original Song at tonight’s ceremony, but “Dos Oruguitas” from the same Encanto soundtrack is. Sebastián Yatra performed the song at tonight’s show. It’s up against Beyoncé’s King Richard number “Be Alive,” Billie Eilish and Finneas’ James Bond song “No Time to Die,” and pieces from Belfast and Four Good Days, written by Van Morrison and Diane Warren, respectively.
Encanto won Best Animated Feature Film and composer Germaine Franco was nominated for Best Original Score.
