Kendrick Lamar‘s debut album Section.80 turned 10 this year, and the rapper celebrated by playing deep cuts during his headlining set at the Day N Vegas festival in Las Vegas last night. He performed “Fuck Your Ethnicity,” “A.D.H.D.,” “HiiiPower,” “Hol’ Up,” “Chapter Ten,” and “Ronald Reagan Era (His Evils)” during his only concert of 2021 (and first U.S. show in more than two years).
The setlist was divided into five acts, with each focusing on a specific album. After performing Section.80 cuts, Lamar dove into material off good kid, m.A.A.d city, To Pimp a Butterfly, and DAMN. before ending with a finale that saw Baby Keem join him onstage for “Family Ties.”
Before leaving the stage, Lamar told the crowd, “Vegas till next time. And when I say next time I mean very soon,” which could allude to the release of his next album and a subsequent tour. As of now, his next (and only announced) live performance will be during the Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show, where he’ll share the stage with Dr. Dre, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Snoop Dogg.
