The Nassau County International Cricket Stadium is set to be dismantled, as authorities in New York get ready to wipe out the pop-up stadium put together as one of the three venues in USA for the ongoing T20 World Cup.
In a video shared by ANI on social media, bulldozers could be seen parked at the venue, set to demolish the temporary stadium that had a seating capacity of 34,000 and hosted India’s three group matches, including the India vs Pakistan match.
India’s match against co-hosts USA on Wednesday was the last game to be hosted at the stadium.

Scenes from inside the stadium at the end of India’s match against USA also showed preparations on to wind things up at the stadium.
Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas and the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Florida are the two other tournament venues in the US.
The second stage of the tournament, ‘Super 8s’, will see action shifting completely to the Caribbean islands, leading up to the final on June 29 in Barbados.
India’s seven-wicket victory against USA was their third straight win, which booked Rohit Sharma & Co a spot in the ‘Super 8s’ with one match still to play in the group stage.
The Indian team will now travel to Florida for their concluding group fixture against Canada, after which the squad will fly to the West Indies for the ‘Super 8s’ and the knockouts.
