Watch Adekunle Gold’s Look What You Made Me Do

Watch Adekunle Gold’s Look What You Made Me Do

The visuals for the track, taken off Adekunle Gold’s fifth album Tequila Ever After, capture the emotion between Adekunle Gold and his wife Simi. The couple’s chemistry instantly transfixes in a succession of intimate close-ups, and the serene aesthetic complements their playful interplay teeming with bold and bright energy.

Adekunle Gold recently concluded a high-profile North American tour produced by Live Nation and Duke Concept, where he brought Tequila Ever After to life nightly in front of sold-out audiences.

The artist also headlined the Detty December concerts in Lagos, and the release of ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ video sees him hitting the ground running in 2024.

Tequila Ever After has been described as a love letter to the sounds of Africa that have recently taken the world by storm. It is also a showcase for Adekunle Gold’s growth and experience, as the singer notes he has developed as an artist and human in the past few years.

Speaking to that evolution, Adekunle Gold said: “I’m not the Adekunle Gold who released my first album in 2016. I have a lot more confidence now.”

The album has already amassed more than 265 million streams worldwide, earning widespread acclaim from publications such as OkayAfrica,1883 Magazine, Fader, Variety and Rolling Stone.

It is stand-out track ‘Party No Dey Stop’ with Zinoleesky that shot to the top 10 of the Billboard Top Afrobeats Songs chart and peaked at No 3 on the Official UK Afrobeats Chart. It has also generated more than 41 million Spotify streams and 12 million YouTube views.

Tequila Ever After includes the singles ‘Party No Dey Stop’, ‘Ogaranya’ and the tracks from his EP Tio Tequila, which was released earlier in 2023. In addition to Simi, the 17-track album includes credits from Kel-P, Labrinth, Khalid, Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers.
