Walter White’s House in ‘Breaking Bad’ Is Up for Sale

Walter White’s House in ‘Breaking Bad’ Is Up for Sale

Walter White’s Albuquerque, New Mexico house in Breaking Bad is officially back on the market for $4 million USD.

Joanne Quintana, who owns the property with her siblings, told KOB4 that her late parents Fran and Louis Padilla purchased the home in 1973. They decided to sell the house after 52 years due to the overwhelming challenges of protecting the home from Breaking Bad fans, which made it even more difficult from them to care for their ageing parents who eventually passed away.

Quintana explained that they would average 300 cars filled with fans per day, and while they were welcoming towards the tourists at first, they had to put their foot down when things got out of hand. “Around 4:30 in the morning, the doorbell rang, my mom got up and opened the door, and it was a package,” she said, continuing that the package was addressed to Walter White. They called the bomb squad as a safety precaution and decided to put up a fence. Other issues with the TV show’s fans included a person offering them $1,000 USD to swim in the pool, and those who were scammed into thinking they could spend a night at the famous property.

“This was our family home from 1973, almost 52 years. So we’re going to walk away with just our memories. It’s time to move on. We’re done. There’s no reason to fight anymore,” she said. “I hope they make it what the fans want. They want a BnB, they want a museum, they want access to it. Go for it.”
