Vince Staples has dropped his latest track “Rose Street,” ahead of the release of his upcoming album Ramona Park Broke My Heart.
Alongside the single, which also arrived with a short video that sees the rapper looking over the ocean from a rocky viewpoint, Staples debuted the cover art and release date for his next record.
Landing as the follow-up to Staples’ self-titled album last year, Ramona Park Broke My Heart will arrive on April 8.
“I am often told the lie that life is what you make it. For over a decade, most of my work has been an anthology of what I believed to be home. Now I’ve realized that it reaches beyond location,” Staples wrote on social media alongside the album art.
“I have been exploring the utility of home. Security. Comfort. Meaning. The answer. The excuse. To outgrow is to love blindly no longer. ‘Ramona Park Broke My Heart’ is the story of that growth,” he added.

Staples previously released the lead single from the upcoming record, “Magic,” featuring Mustard, in February, which provided context for the overarching sound of Ramona Park, according to the rapper.
“I think it’ll put the listener in a good state of mind,” he previously said of the track. “The mood of it defines the project.”
“It’s symbolic of home,” he added of the project’s title, which pays homage to his hometown neighborhood of Ramona Park in Long Beach. “And everyone has a home. Even though it’s very personal to me, everyone can relate to it. That’s why I thought it would work for this chapter.”
