After being confirmed to be in the work back in 2019, reports are now noting that Vin Diesel and director David Twohy will be reuniting for Riddick: 4. The fourth live-action movie installment in the Riddick universe will be titled, Riddick: Furya. Beloved by science-fiction fans, the series started with 2000’s Pitch Black, followed by The Chronicles of Riddick (2004), and Riddick (2013).
Riddick: Furya will see Richard B. Riddick return to his home world of Furya. Barely remembering the place left in ruins by the Necromongers, Riddick finds other Furyans now fighting for their existence against a new enemy. Twohy is set to direct the script he wrote for the latest installment with Diesel starring and producing the film under his One Race Films banner.
“Our legion fans have demanded it for years, and now we’re finally ready to honor their call to action with Riddick: Furya,” said David Twhoy. “My collaboration with Vin and One Race has spanned 20 fruitful years, as together we’ve created three movies, two video games, an anime production, and motion comics for the internet. This new big-screen event will see a return to Riddick’s homeworld, where we finally get to explore Riddick’s genesis.”
