According to ESPN reporter Nick DePaula, Victor Wembanyama, the 7’4 prospect who will soon be selected by the San Antonio Spurs as the #1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, will enter the league as an official
Wembanyama first signed a multi-year footwear and apparel deal with Nike while starting his pro career in France. The endorsement deal will reportedly carry over to the beginning of his NBA career. While playing for his French team Metropolitans 92 last season, Wembanyama wore the Nike Air Zoom GT Run in a custom US size 20.5. Next season, the generational prospect will reportedly continue headlining models from Nike’s GT series.
