Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on his three days visit speak on the need of Nigeria and Canada Collaboration.
Sharing the updates on his Facebook page, Osinbajo said:
Nigeria and Canada are two countries, which I believe need to work together to achieve their individual and collective goals. This position was further reinforced today, when I met with the Canadian Deputy Prime minister, Christia Freeland and discussed the areas in which our countries need a closer collaboration, as a part of my 3-day visit to the North American country
Our conversations bordered on improving trade, deepening ongoing educational collaboration, continuing dialogue on the global energy transition issues and climate change.
I used the opportunity to speak on Nigeria’s Energy Transition Plan and a proposal to adopt gas, which Nigeria has in large quantities, during the transition to a greener World. This notion garnered traction at the recent COP27 conference in Egypt, but is still widely unacknowledged in the West.
