Death has been announced of veteran Nigerian Olanrewaju Ganiu Fasasi better known as Sound Sultan.
It is a sad one as one of Nigeria’s finest musicians, Sound Sultan, has died after battling throat cancer. Some months ago, precisely in May, Nigerians were alerted that Sound Sultan was battling throat cancer and was currently being treated somewhere in America.
The news of his ill health drew a lot of attention and sympathy however, his elder brother denied he had any of such ailment.
A couple of months later the Nigerian music industry has been thrown into mourning over the demise of the singer. His death was announced this morning after he lost the battle against throat cancer.
The musician while yet alive was confident of his return to the music scene but that would not happen anymore.
Sound Sultan died at the age of 44 and he is survived by a while and three children.
