Unplugged Performance Reveals Off-Road Version of the Tesla Cybertruck

Unplugged Performance, a self-proclaimed leader in the industry when it comes to upgrading Tesla vehicles, has often been known for the upgraded high performance Model S. Due to the proximity to Tesla’s design studio in Hawthorne, California, Unplugged Performance and Tesla seem to have a special relationship.

Almost immediately after Elon Musk announced the Cybertruck, Unplugged also almost immediately revealed the performance tune for the steel truck. Being that Unplugged is close to Tesla, SpaceX and Starlink, the company has often produced tuner parts for various Teslas long before competitors. Unplugged Performance CEO Ben Schaffer said about the Cybertruck tune, “This is an extensively engineered and comprehensive approach to unlocking maximum potential of the beast that is Cybertruck. We’re shipping to first Cybertruck customers on some of these items as early as next week.”

The Unplugged treatment helps to change the Cybertruck, giving it an even greater and more rugged look. Looking like something out of a post-apocalyptic zombie scene, the available parts include a 2.5-inch lift kit for $9,995 USD. Unplugged revealed that there is “no risk of topping out the air shocks (while) allowing for correct camber, caster, and toe alignments. The Tesla Cybertruck’s air suspension functionality remains intact. Heavy-duty 5-Axis CnC 6061 billet machined suspension components are Baja-ready and are highly adjustable for advanced alignment options.” Rear bumpers and hardcore trailer hitch receiver can be added for $3,995 USD and replaces the standard plastic rear bumper and rear trailer hitch receiver with more resilient Unplugged Performance INVINCIBLE® steel parts.” The Invincible HD front bumper is $2,995 USD while the front and rear carbon-fiber fender flares goes for $2,895 USD. HD rock sliders goes for $2,795 USD, “This rocker protection system completely replaces the factory plastic units with carbon-steel rocker panels that include bolt-on modular rock sliders for unprecedented strength and protection for the stainless steel body and batteries.”

The Underbody Armor which costs $2,295 USD is described as providing “ribbed protection for your truck’s pleasure.” Other additions include the Starship Starlink mount, truck bed storage slider system, wheel spacers, sway bar quick-disconnect, high-performance brake rotor pads, street and off-road brake rotors, HD roof rack set, three different wheel choices, bead lock forged wheel and tire package, carbon-fiber hood with 50-inch LED light bar and a HD front bull bar all with price ranges from $75 USD to $2,291 USD.
