The UFC has officially announced that UFC 275 will take place in Singapore this June, marking the first-ever pay-per-view event hosted in Southeast Asia.
Two title fights will be held, with the main featuring reigning light-heavyweight champion and UFC veteran Glover Teixeira facing off against rising star and former RIZIN champion Jiri Prochazka. The 42-year-old Teixeira previously claimed the title over Blachowicz at UFC 267 and Prochazka comes off two sensational finishes over Volkan Oezdemir and Dominick Reyes. The co-main features a bout between flyweight champ and ESPN’s top pound-for-pound female fighter Valentina Shevchenko and Brazilian fighter Talia Santos, who’s coming off four straight wins.
Also on the card are two middleweight bouts between Robert Whittaker and Marvin Vettori, and Brendan Allen and Jacob Malkoun. A featherweight contest between Kyung Ho Kang and Saimon Oliveira rounds out the announcements thus far.
UFC 275 will be the promotion’s fifth and largest exhibition in Singapore, with its last event taking place in October 2019. Presale tickets are now available on the UFC website.
