Two Robert Pattinson Films 'The Batman 2' and 'Mickey 17' Have Delayed Released Dates

Warner Bros. has been changing up its release schedule once again and it looks like the two highly anticipated Robert Pattinson films are the most affected. Fans will have to wait a while longer to see the actor back in action in Matt ReevesThe Batman 2.

The superhero sequel is now pushed back another year, which sees the caped crusader hit theaters on October 1, 2027. In the past, the film was pushed to October 3, 2025 before October 2, 2026. Now the new release date shifts the opening to 2027 for IMAX. Now that the 2026 date is vacated, it leaves room for Alejandro G. Iñárritu and Tom Cruise‘s upcoming film titled Judy to take over the October 2, 2026 date. The film logline reads that Judy follows “the most powerful man in the world” while he “embarks on a frantic mission to prove he is humanity’s savior before the disaster he’s unleashed destroys everything.” It features a cast that includes Sandra Hüller, John Goodman, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jesse Plemons, Sophie Wilde and Riz Ahmed.

Pattinson’s second film Mickey 17 by Bong Joon Ho will now open earlier on March 7, 2025. The film follows Pattinson’s character whose job is to die for a living. Pattinson is expected to star alongside Mark Ruffalo, Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun and Toni Collette. Originally, it was supposed to release in January 2025 and later April 18, 2025. It appears now, the schedule pushes the film to premiere a month earlier in the coming spring. Instead, on the April 18, 2025 date, Michael B. Jordan‘s Sinners will now be releasing. Directed by Ryan Coogler, the horror film sees Jordan as a set of twin brothers who return home to find “an even greater evil.”

Stay tuned for any further changes in the new year.
