Two New Films Will Join the Live-Action ‘Fullmetal Alchemist’ Franchise This Summer

A new trailer is out for the films Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Avenger Scar and Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Last Transmutation. The two sequel films will join the live-action Fullmetal Alchemist franchise, which debuted its first  iteration in 2017.

Spotlighting 15 main characters across the films, the trailer previewed the return of the cast from the first movie in the series.

Among the main cast, Ryōsuke Yamada plays Edward Elric, alongside Atomu Mizuishi as Alphonse Elric and Tsubasa Honda as Winry Rockbell. Dean Fujioka portrays Roy Mustang.

The new cast includes Mackenyu Arata as Scar, Yuina Kuroshima as Lan Fan, Keisuke Watanabe as Ling Yao, Yuki Yamada as Solf J. Kimblee, Hiroshi Tachi as King Bradley, Kōji Yamamoto as Alex Louis Armstrong, Chiaki Kuriyama as Olivier Mira Armstrong and more.

Opening on May 20, Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Avenger Scar previews a battle between Edward and Scar. Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Last Transmutation will follow on June 24, focusing on the ultimate battle in the storyline.
