Twitter Creator Receives Six Figure Payout From Ad Revenue Share

Twitter Creator Receives Six Figure Payout From Ad Revenue Share

Twitter has gone live with its highly anticipated revenue-sharing program, with some creators already reporting payouts of over $100,000 USD. While the program was planned months ahead, many believe the timing of its release is a direct attempt to bolster support for the platform in light of competition from Meta‘s new Threads app.

The new program isn’t an easily accessible infinite money glitch though and does require a specific set of criteria to be eligible. Current requirements include an active subscription to Twitter Blue, a Stripe account for payment processing and five million tweet impressions from over the course of the last three months — when the program was first announced.

Elon Musk shared that the program, which pays creators for the ads that appear in their reply threads, would include a total amount of $5 million USD as part of the first block of payments, meaning there’s a lot more up for grabs. While the highest publicly shared payout is currently $100,000 USD to the creator known as Internet Hall of Fame, another notable payout was just over $25,000 USD to none other than Mr. Beast.

While the ad revenue sharing program appears to currently only be available for select creators with a Twitter Blue subscription, there is word that within two weeks’ time, it is expected to open up to non-subscribed users, although, other criteria will likely still be applicable.
