Tuner Refined Marques Unveils Mercedes-AMG G63 Cabriolet

A German tuning company, Refined Marques, has unveiled a custom version of the Mercedes-AMG G63, transforming the iconic model into an exciting Cabriolet. The creation, which has been named the G63 Cabriolet, boasts both the luxury and power expected from Mercedes-Benz and introduces a design twist — rear suicide doors.

This custom vehicle began its journey as a two-door G-Class, which Refined Marques grafted the dynamic exterior elements of the four-door G63. At the heart of the vehicle is a robust 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine, that mirrors the performance of its inspiration. However, the G63 Cabriolet’s most striking feature is its convertible design. By removing the roof and adding compact rear doors, the company achieved a blend of elegance and utility. In a recent interview, Ahed Al Bakry, the CEO of Refined Marques, shared that the decision to use suicide doors was made to enhance the ease of entry and exit.

Inside the cabin, the car features a luxurious red leather finish across various surfaces, including the seats, door panels, steering wheel and dashboard. The folding vinyl roof also sports the same vivid red, complementing the car’s overall aesthetic.

The allure of this custom G63 Cabriolet has already captivated many, despite its price tag of $1,300,000 USD. In fact, due to its limited nature, with only 20 editions to be produced, the current owner of the blue G63 Cabriolet was offered nearly double the retail price on secondary markets but declined the offer. More information on the limited edition build can be found on Refined Marques’s official site.
