“You” is Sivan’s first release this year, his first with Regard and McRae, and it’s the followup to his 2020 EP In a Dream.
Want more of Sivan? He makes that happen by taking folks on a guided tour of his Melbourne home for Architectural Digest, which describes the Victorian-era digs (a former brick factory, we learn) as “unpretentious yet expertly decorated.”
If home is where the heart is, then Sivan is smitten with his pad. At the top, he explains that he was terribly homesick after five or six years living in the U.S, a long way from friends and family. “I’m so unbelievably happy here,” he says of Australia, “I just feel so at home and I wanted to put down roots.”
Roots, and branches. Sivan’s dining room table is adorned with a vase filled with apple tree branches. It’s Troye’s place, Troye’s rules. “It’s a really nice feeling to have a place that’s yours, where you can just kick back and relax. And enjoy your life. That’s what it’s all about,” he explains.
