Travis Scott has set a new record with his recent “CIRCUS MAXIMUS” tour.
Billboard reports that Scott’s latest engagement is now the highest-selling tour by a solo rapper in history, grossing $209.3 million USD from 1.7 million tickets across 76 dates. The biggest stop of the tour was in Melbourne with two shows that grossed $12.6 million USD from 115,000 tickets, while his last nine shows accounted for 24% of the tour’s total attendance with 415,000 tickets.
“CIRCUS MAXIMUS” triumphed over La Flame’s “Astroworld: Wish You Were Here” tour between 2018 and 2019 as it sold more than twice the tickets of and grossed thrice as much as its predecessor. He sold 53% more tickets per show in comparison to “Astroworld,” played more than 20 shows and increased his ticket prices by 65%.
JAY-Z has come close to Scott’s record with two million tickets, however he was co-headlining the “On the Run II” tour with Beyoncé. The only other solo rapper to even break 1 million tickets in one tour was 50 Cent during his “The Final Lap” tour in 2023.
