Travis Scott To Launch ‘Utopia’ With Pyramids of Giza Performance

Travis Scott To Launch 'Utopia' With Pyramids of Giza Performance

Travis Scott’s Utopia album rollout is well underway. After teasing the project with billboards in Los Angeles last month, the rapper has announced that he will host a special launch event for the long-awaited record at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt on July 28.

“UTOPIA LIVE AT THE PYRAMIDS,” Scott wrote on Instagram, alongside the Live Nation event’s official poster. Tickets for the show, as well as a series of Utopia packs, are available for purchase on the artist’s official website, and it will also be live-streamed for viewers at home.

The Egypt showcase is described as an “unforgettable show that will immerse fans in the world of Utopia,” according to a press release. Additionally, Scott’s team notes that the album is expected to have “five individual artworks,” none of which have been revealed.

The album does not yet have an official release date, though Scott has opened pre-orders for the record on his webstore, with CDs, vinyl, and merch available.

Utopia will arrive as Scott’s first full-length record since Astroworld, which was released in 2018. Just over two years ago, the rapper held his annual Astroworld Festival, which ultimately led to the death of ten fans in what police called a “mass casualty incident.” Last month, a Texas grand jury decided it would not indict Scott on any criminal charges related to the event.

In more music news, Lil Uzi Vert has announced his 17-stop Pink Tape Tour.
