Travis Scott has been gradually making his return to music following the Astroworld tragedies. At the beginning of this month, the rapper announced a Las Vegas residency at Resorts World’s Zouk Nightclub taking place this fall, an experience called Road to Utopia. He also performed a headlining show over the weekend at London’s O2 Arena, where he performed the new track “God’s Country.”
According to recent social media posts, Scott may have even more new developments in the works. The rapper appears to be teasing that a new album is on the way, presumably his long-awaited fourth studio LP, Utopia.
On August 7, the rapper shared a photo dump captioned, “now to finish” with a CD emoji.
The following day, he took to Twitter, declaring that he’ll “be back when it’s album time.”
Utopia was first announced in July 2020 as the follow-up to Scott’s 2018 breakout record, Astroworld. He reportedly began recording the album in 2019 and has described the project as marking a change in his sound.
As of right now, Scott has yet to officially confirm the news of a new album or when exactly fans can expect to get their hands on it.
In other music news, Megan Thee Stallion previewed her sophomore album Traumazine with an ominous teaser video.
