Toyota Unveils Revamped GR Corolla

Toyota has announced the 2025 GR Corolla, introducing significant enhancements that cater to both manual transmission enthusiasts and those who prefer the ease of an automatic. The new model now includes an 8-speed GAZOO Racing Direct Automatic Transmission (DAT) with paddle shifters, expanding its appeal to a broader range of drivers.

Key updates to the GR Corolla include an increase in engine torque to 295 lb.-ft. and the adoption of launch control for powerful acceleration. The suspension has been refined for improved stability during cornering, and a redesigned front bumper enhances cooling and aerodynamics.

The 2025 GR Corolla offers three trims: Core, Premium and the new Premium Plus. Each model features Toyota’s G16E-GTS 1.6L 3-cylinder turbo engine, producing 300 hp. The Premium Plus trim includes exclusive features such as a forged carbon fiber roof, a bulge hood and matte black wheels.

Drivers can expect enhanced performance with the GR-FOUR All-Wheel-Drive system, Torsen Limited-Slip Differentials, and various drive modes tailored for different driving conditions. Inside, the GR Corolla boasts an eight-inch digital gauge cluster, Toyota Audio Multimedia with an eight-inch touchscreen, and advanced connected services.

Safety remains paramount with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, offering a comprehensive suite of driver assistance features. The 2025 GR Corolla models will arrive at dealerships this winter, with further details and pricing to be announced later this year.
