Toyota Australia has joined forces with children’s music group The Wiggles to introduce a brand-new Big Red Ute stage car. The partnership debuted at The Wiggles’ Melbourne concert on December 7, 2024, with the unveiling of the custom-built stage car. Designed and developed by Toyota’s Product, Planning and Development team, the Big Red Ute reflects the vibrant energy of The Wiggles.
Michael Mills, Senior Designer at Toyota Design Australia, highlighted the passion behind the project. “Every detail of the Big Red Ute was crafted to embody The Wiggles’ fun and lively spirit. From ideation to final build, it’s been a joy-filled journey.”
The stage car, based on a Toyota FJ Cruiser, features eye-catching LED screen headlights designed as eyes and a built-in bubble machine for a whimsical touch. Fully drivable, it’s designed to provide a show-stopping entrance for the band during their performances.
Notably, the collaboration also ties into The Wiggles’ latest hit, Big Red Ute, a playful country-rock anthem inspired by the group’s classic Big Red Car. Toyota’s Chief Marketing Officer, Vin Naidoo, emphasized the unique nature of this project. “It’s not every day we design a vehicle with such imaginative features. We’re thrilled to bring this vision to life alongside The Wiggles.”
