Toyota Releases Its Sportiest Prius Yet

Toyota has unveiled its latest Prius, namely a sportier XSE model. With a refined balance between performance and efficiency, the XSE features a 220 hp hybrid system that powers the vehicle from 0 to 60 mph in 6.6 seconds, while delivering a manufacturer-estimated 52 combined MPG in hybrid mode.

A standout feature of the XSE is its 40-mile all-electric driving range, powered by a 13.6 kWh lithium-ion battery. This makes it an ideal choice for daily commutes in electric mode, while still offering extended range for longer drives. The XSE also comes with a 19-inch alloy wheels, heated SofTex-trimmed power seats and a standard 8-inch multimedia display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

Drivers can upgrade to a 12.3-inch touchscreen, offering seamless access to Toyota’s cloud-based navigation and over-the-air updates. Enhanced safety is ensured with Toyota’s Safety Sense 3.0, featuring adaptive cruise control, lane departure alerts and pedestrian detection.

Specifics on pricing and availability for the 2025 Toyota Prius XSE have not yet been revealed at the time of writing.
