In honor of its 95th anniversary, Milanese coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera unveiled its latest creation, the Arese RH95. Marking another milestone in the company’s history, the Touring Superleggera Arese RH95 embodies a streamlined design philosophy and enviable Italian finesse.
Built on a well-known mid-engine exotic, which we highly suspect is a Ferrari 488 Pista, the Arese RH95 employs the chassis and drivetrain of its donor car. Hence it comes powered by a 3.9-liter twin-turbo V-8 rated at 711 hp and 567 lb-ft of torque. Power goes to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, while the run from 0-to-62 mph takes 3.0 seconds. The top speed is 211 mph.
Adopting styling cues from both the Touring Aero 3 and Disco Volante Coupe, this exquisite two-seater brings the legendary Superleggera design to the modern era. Highlights include the car’s carbon-fiber bodywork, scissor-style doors, nostril-like front grille, and functional dorsal scoop atop the rear clamshell, which optimizes forced air circulation. The brawny air intakes aft of the doors, massive exhaust outlets, thin LED taillights, and sleek rear body contours further help this supercar stand out from the pack. Other design highlights include the silver strip across the front trunk that carries over to the tail and aluminum accent treatments on the headlights and door sides. The gorgeous interior, meanwhile, sports individualized driver and passenger seating spaces.
A quick explainer on the naming convention: the Arese RH95 derives its name from Via per Arese, the street in Milan where Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera is based. The 95 signifies the anniversary of the coachbuilder since its inception in 1926, and RH stands for the buyer initials.
Finished in Verde Pino paint with a caramel interior, this Arese RH95 is the first production model out of a planned 18. The second car will feature a coat of red paint cribbed from the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, while the third car will have the blue and orange Gulf Oil livery. Each bespoke model is fully customizable and takes six months to build. Customers can supply the donor car or source it through Superleggera. The coachbuilder offers a variety of options for exterior paint and interior materials.
Deliveries begin one month after the official presentation later this fall, while pricing is available upon request. In other words, if you have to ask, then you probably can’t afford one of these chic machines.
