It’s official. Tom Brady took to social media to announce that he is retiring from the NFL after a historic 22 seasons.
From starting out as as a low grade prospect coming out of the University of Michigan to becoming arguably the greatest quarterback to ever set foot on the gridiron, Brady will forever be remembered for his tenacity and heart that he displayed on the football field. Throughout his professional career playing under Bill Belichick for the New England Patriots and Bruce Arians for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the football maestro captured an impressive seven Super Bowl titles — the most ever in NFL history.
In his IG post, Brady wrote a love letter to everyone that’s been on his football journey including the fans, his coaches, team staff, his family and more. “This is difficult for me to write, but here it goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore,” he says. “I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention.” Later on in his message, the iconic athlete confirms that will be focused on spending more time with his family and putting more efforts into growing his personal companies such as BRADY brand, Autograph and TB12.
