Timothée Chalamet Stars in New ‘Bones and All’ Trailer

Timothée Chalamet and Call Me By Your Name director Luca Guadagnino have dropped off a new teaser for their upcoming horror film, Bones and All. The movie, which is slated for a world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, is based on the novel of the same moniker by Camille DeAngelis.

The coming-of-age film chronicles a romantic, cross-America road trip, during which Lee (Chalamet) and Maren (Taylor Russell) express their love for one another in a cannibalistic form. The short teaser reveals several tender clips of Chalamet and Russell, along with shots of the lovestruck duo running in the desert.

Guadagnino recently spoke to Deadline about the film’s deeper meaning, stating, “There is something about the disenfranchised about people living on the margins of society that I am drawn toward and touched by. I love these characters. The heart of the movie is tender and affectionate towards them. I’m interested in their emotional journeys. I want to see where the possibilities lie for them, enmeshed within the impossibility they face. The movie is for me a meditation on who I am and how I can overcome what I feel, especially if it is something I cannot control in myself. And lastly, and most importantly, when will I be able to find myself in the gaze of the other?”

Chalamet and Russell will star alongside Chloë Sevigny, Mark Rylance, André Holland, David Gordon-Green, Jessica Harper, Jake Horowitz and Michael Stuhlbarg. Bones and All was written by David Kajganich, whose portfolio includes Guadagnino’s Suspiria and A Bigger Splash. Additionally, the movie will receive a full score composed by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

Following its Venice Film Festival premiere, Bones and All will receive a widespread theatrical release in the United States on November 23. Watch the teaser above.

Elsewhere in entertainment, Johnny Depp appears as King Louis XV in Jeanne du Barry.
