TikTok is reportedly testing a “watch history” feature with a select group of users, which will allow them to relocate videos that previously appeared on their “For You” page. Twitter user Hammod Oh, who is known for discovering features being tested on social media platforms, first reported the new tool.

The tool will seemingly address the common issue of users accidentally refreshing their “For You” page before they’ve had the chance to “like” a given video. There are currently existing ways of recovering previously-watched videos, including one method that requires users to search an asterisk on the Discover page and toggle on the “watch videos” option in the filters tab, though it is not entirely accessible for the average user.
It is unknown how many users are currently able to access the test features and when, or if, TikTok plans to make the tool available to all users. TikTok has declined to provide further information on the feature at this time, though a spokesperson did provide this statement: “We’re always thinking about new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience.”
