Over the last decade, the high-street has become infinitely better at creating good basics. Yes, there were always the Uniqlos and Gaps of the world, but now the list of brands that tick both the form and function boxes is growing every day, and John Lewis & Partners’ lesser-known brand Kin very much falls under this category. Rising above seasonal trends, this affordable brand has been consistent in its minimalist message since its inception, perfecting the art of the perfect shirt, the ideal crew-neck knit and the dream pair of tailored trousers.
Last year, I fell in love with Kin’s collaboration with Rie Takeda and have been wearing the wrap jacket through all seasons. I’m also pleased to announce that Kin’s A/W 21 collection is just as good as it’s ever been. We’re talking an oversized pinstripe shirt that was made for layering, a rather chic raincoat for all your outdoorsy needs and a handful of cosy knits that you’ll never want to take off. Best of all? They all come in under £100. Scroll down to see and shop my Kin autumn edit.
